About

Haley brings more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, serving organizations dedicated to immigrant and human rights, behavioral health, community-based mentoring, early childhood care and education, and Indigenous-centered media. She specializes in grants, donor relations, project management, strategic planning, and partnership development. She is passionate about crafting compelling narratives that inspire meaningful change and helping nonprofits assess their strengths and challenges, while leveraging each organization’s assets to drive maximum social impact.

Haley earned her Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the American Indian Studies program at the University of Arizona-Tucson, and a B.A. in History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with minors in Ethnic Studies and Native American Studies. She has served nonprofits and Native communities across Arizona, Alaska, New York, Colorado, and Nebraska.

Haley is excited to return to Strawhecker Nonprofit Services, where she previously served as a Grants Specialist, to further support nonprofits in achieving growth and sustainability. Her key accomplishments include securing major gifts exceeding $20,000, leading successful year-end campaigns and virtual fundraising events, obtaining a $2.9 million U.S. Department of Transportation grant to enhance transportation infrastructure in a rural Alaska Native community, and contributing to the acquisition of nearly $1 million in United Way funding to advance behavioral health services and domestic abuse victim support programs.
