“The expertise, structure, guidance and capacity-building provided by Strawhecker Nonprofit Services were key drivers in our success.”

“Strawhecker Nonprofit Services [formerly Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc.] was retained by Children’s Square U.S.A., a nonprofit based in Council Bluffs, to conduct a philanthropic planning study. The results of this study were instrumental in our deciding to move forward with a capital campaign, in setting the campaign goal and in sequencing the projects to be completed. Prior to launching the campaign, Paul’s team worked with us for a year to build visibility, capacity and new relationships that better positioned our organization for a successful campaign, and they continued to work with us in conducting the campaign. Our $9,000,000 Better Spaces, Brighter Futures Capital Campaign is now near completion and the first project funded through it is under construction. The expertise, structure, guidance and capacity-building provided by [SNS] were key drivers in our success.”

— Carol Wood, President & CEO, Children's Square, U.S.A.

“We were a bit skeptical if our group could be successful substituting a live event with a virtual event … The proof is in our results as we doubled our virtual fundraising goal.”

“The Strawhecker Nonprofit Services (SNS) team did a great job helping the Metro Area Youth Foundation (MAYF) accomplish our fundraising initiative to help families dealing with childhood cancer. We came to your organization about one year ago to help us evaluate our mission and strategy in these changing and challenging fundraising times. Little did we know we would be dealing with COVID-19 in 2020, which forced us to cancel our major fundraising event and look to a potential virtual strategy to accomplish our mission. Virtual fundraising was an area of fundraising we had little to no experience in. We were fortunate that SNS [formerly Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc.], had in house expertise in this area and assigned Nani Reed to lead us through a virtual fundraiser. She brought the knowledge, technical skills, enthusiasm, and the patience it took to run a virtual campaign for first-timers. For many of us, we were a bit skeptical if our group could be successful substituting a live event with a virtual event and what we found out was that we now have another avenue to raise money for our cause thanks to the great support [SNS] and Nani provided. The proof is in our results as we doubled our virtual fundraising goal.”

— Marty Reagan, Board Member, Metro Area Youth Foundation

“Not only does [SNS] display state of the art strategies, but has a unique ability to customize their efforts to match experience with the goals of the agency.”

“Led by Strawhecker Nonprofit Services [formerly Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc.], Alaska Family Services has undertaken a complete overhaul of our development activities for the agency. The results have been an outstanding turnaround in marketing, estate planning and community engagement strategies. Not only does [SNS] display state of the art strategies, but has a unique ability to customize their efforts to match experience with the goals of the agency. We are very pleased with their performance!”

— Donn Bennice, Ph.D., President & CEO, Alaska Family Services

“We made an excellent choice with Strawhecker Nonprofit Services.”

“Kimball Health Services and the Kimball Hospital Foundation set out to find someone to lead us through a capital campaign to build our new hospital, and we made an excellent choice with Strawhecker Nonprofit Services [formerly Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc].  It has been is a tedious process to say the least, but Paul, Sam and especially Jackie gave us excellent, experienced leadership through it all.  They helped our campaign volunteers feel at ease.  Thank you SNS for all you’ve done for us!”

— Kerry Ferguson, Director of Community Relations and Foundation, Kimball Health Services
