Ryan Strawhecker, CFRE

Principal

Ryan started his career in 2004 when he began working at Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc. assisting with philanthropic planning studies and capital campaigns. From 2010 to 2017, Ryan worked at a start-up nonprofit, as a Planned Giving Officer at Omaha Home for Boys and for the United Way of the Midlands as Director of Corporate Relations & Major Accounts. During his time at the United Way of the Midlands, he was the main point person for the Foundation, and a leader in the annual $20 million fundraising drive. Throughout his career Ryan has benefited from working under a number of successful fundraisers. In 2016, he received the CFRE designation.

Ryan’s favorite part of his career is getting to work so often in small groups and help lead discussions and decisions that benefit the future of communities. He has truly enjoyed growing as a leader and being a part of leadership groups. In 2021, Ryan began his training to be a certified facilitator. Ryan has worked on several philanthropic planning studies and capital campaigns. In 2022, Ryan became the Principal of Strawhecker Nonprofit Services, the evolution of Paul J. Strawhecker, Inc. which began consulting services in 1995.
