Frank Shimerdla
Grant Writer / Funding Advisor
With more than 13 years of experience in grant writing, Frank has written successful proposals garnering more than $40 million from federal, state, local and private funding sources. Prior to becoming a consultant, Frank served as Director of Resource Development for the AIM Institute where he led grant development efforts. He also held grant development positions at Metropolitan Community College and College of Saint Mary.
Frank earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a master of fine arts from Vermont College. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Metropolitan Community College, teaching composition, creative writing and poetry courses. Frank is past president of the American Association for Grants Professionals - Nebraska Chapter.
